ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Review the R&D team reports and help interpret the data into meaningful information to help the sales team sell, cross-sell and up-sell new resin, photoinitiator, and additive products to customers. 
  • Respond to customer questions about the chemistry composition of IGM Resins products and how our products will affect the customer’s energy-curing resin, photoinitiator, and additive products and services.  
  • Use knowledge of chemistry and coating application knowledge to coordinate with IGM Resins’ research and development team to explain complex chemistry in a clear way to our sales team and customers.  
  • Serve as subject matter expert on resins, photoinitiators, and additives to help the sales team learn about the chemical product and how to use the chemical product in various industries, such as in industrial coatings and 3D printing, electronics and adhesives, and printing and packaging industries.  
  • Help identify potential markets and industries for the sales team to pursue.  
  • Write technical papers or reports or prepare standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, or tests.  
  • Confer with other chemists and sales representatives to gather technical answers in response to customer inquiries.  
  • Travel to key industry & trade associations to be available in case the sales team needs assistance with answering chemistry-related questions and with exploring new chemical development projects.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS

  • MINIMUM EDUCATION:  Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry, or related field.
  • MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: Two (2) years of chemist experience working with Photo-initiators, Energy Curing Resins, or Additive products.
  • TRAVEL REQUIREMENT: Occasional up to 10% domestic travel.
